Armin Blasbichler Studio

The struggle for absolute autonomy of the individual against the absolute authority of the universal.

A wooden shelter, a boat, trapped in a secluded tiny lake on 2150 metres above sea level, embedded in the midst of the Dolomites, a massif emerged from and shaped by a primeval ocean. Under the leitmotif Radical Romaticism LFG! twenty-five BA architecture students under the guidance of Armin Blasbichler, authored, funded, produced and put into place Timshel I in four months time - altogether with no prior knowledge in boatbuilding whatsoever.
